You fill it with water and in a few seconds you create exactly the kind of steam that the crust loves in the oven or on the bread. You can use the sprayer when baking sourdough bread, baguettes and buns. Before putting it in the oven, you create steam, which prevents cracking and helps the crust bake properly. After taking the bread out, spraying it with water or a saline solution will soften the surface, enhance the taste and give it a beautiful, slightly shiny appearance. It also works for gluten-free doughs that harden quickly.

Apply the spray to the dough just before baking, ideally just before you close the oven door – the steam will stay in longer. After baking, you can lightly dust the bread with salt water to keep the crust flexible and prevent cracking. Clean the bottle by hand, do not use the dishwasher, and if you fill it with a saline solution, rinse it with clean water from time to time.
