When we pack our sourdough for the road, it needs a reliable home
This container has proven to be especially useful for sourdough starter when we transport it – whether to a cottage or a course. Thanks to the lid, it keeps the aroma and moisture inside, doesn't crack, and looks like new even after several uses. In the kitchen, we also store pre-measured flour, seeds, or granola mix in it. Let the yeast breathe only when you want it to – the lid holds it tightly
If you are transporting sourdough, leave a little extra space for it – an uneven surface is not a fault, but proof of life. You can wash the container by hand or in the dishwasher, but we recommend drying it thoroughly before using it again. The lid is sturdy, but still be sure when transporting it – for example with a rubber band or cling film. And if you are not using it for sourdough, it can also be used for nuts or herbs.
