Lightweight, transparent, compact and with a lid that really seals. It fits in the fridge, freezer and backpack - whether we're carrying sourdough, flour or a few nuts on the go. When we pack our sourdough for the road, it needs a reliable home

This container has proven to be especially useful for sourdough starter when we transport it – whether to a cottage or a course. Thanks to the lid, it keeps the aroma and moisture inside, doesn't crack, and looks like new even after several uses. In the kitchen, we also store pre-measured flour, seeds, or granola mix in it. It's a small organizer that keeps things together – and doesn't take up space.

Let the yeast breathe only when you want it to – the lid holds it tightly

If you are transporting sourdough, leave a little extra space for it – an uneven surface is not a fault, but proof of life. You can wash the container by hand or in the dishwasher, but we recommend drying it thoroughly before using it again. The lid is sturdy, but still be sure when transporting it – for example with a rubber band or cling film. And if you are not using it for sourdough, it can also be used for nuts or herbs.

Leaven for travel? It will be safe here

This container has proven to be especially useful for transporting sourdough – it’s perfectly airtight, lightweight and won’t break even in a backpack. When we’re not traveling, we use it to store weighed flour, granola mix or seeds for sprinkling on bread. It’s a small organizer that likes order, but can also adapt to the chaos of baking.

When transporting sourdough, don’t fill the container to the brim – sourdough needs to breathe and likes room to grow. Wash and dry the container thoroughly after each use. You can wash it in the dishwasher, but if you want to use it for a long time, we recommend gentle hand washing. If you’re sealing it for travel, add a rubber band or foil to make sure it’s secure – safety is safety.
